Christopher J. Evans

Christopher J. Evans, Esq., was named Executive Director of the Surfrider Foundation in summer 1999. Surfrider Foundation is a United States based international grassroots non-profit environmental organization with 60 U.S. chapters and affiliates in Europe, Japan, Brazil and Australia. Before coming to Surfrider, Chris spent 15 years as a Prosecutor from the Orange County California District Attorney's Office. There he eventually rose to the position of Executive Manager of multiple divisions of this 1000 person office. Educated at The University of California at Irvine Medical School as a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic, California State University at Long beach and Western State University College of Law he is a member of the California and Federal Bar. Chris, a San Clemente, California resident, is a lifelong sailor, surfer and ocean enthusiast.
