Miami-Dade High School Students Test Wind Challenge Designs

Eight teams of high school students from Miami-Dade County tested their aerodynamic designs in a wind mitigation challenge. The 2014 Wall of Wind Mitigation Challenge demonstrated the importance of designing against the forces created by hurricane winds, resulting in more hurricane resistant buildings and less property damage.
