2023 Eye of the Storm – Hurricane (Science, Mitigation & Preparedness) Free Museum Event, Saturday, May 20th, 10am to 5pm
FIU’s International Hurricane Research Center (IHRC) and the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) sponsors the FREE Eye of the Storm community outreach event at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) on Saturday, May 20th, 10am to 5pm. This family friendly event is focused on hurricane education, mitigation and preparedness with special entertainment throughout the day, including hands-on, interactive activities, demonstrations, live theater shows and hurricane experts. Eye of the Storm is a partnership between the IHRC, the Florida Division of Emergency Management, the Museum of Discovery and Science, Broward County Emergency Management, the City of Fort Lauderdale Emergency Management, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
